BENEFITS OF SUNNAH FASTING
 
1. Maintaining Body Health
This is because there is an increase in the immune system. When we fast, 
unconsciously our immune system rises due to an increase of 10 times 
lymphocytes. T cells in the body increase very rapidly, even though the 
white blood cells do not change. Then the increase in low lipoprotein 
without being balanced with HDL has a stimulative effect on our body's 
immune response. In addition to these two things, the tendency of fasting 
people who prioritize fresh fruits and water will increase the intake of 
vitamins and minerals. Both of these can act as antioxidants that are useful 
for helping to boost the immune system.
 
2. Curing Chronic Diseases
By fasting, the body is able to control blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, and 
reduce sugar levels in the body. So that sometimes doctors recommend fasting 
for sufferers of diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, and hypertension.
 
3. As a Healthy Diet
Fasting also has a role in controlling weight and losing excess weight. By fasting, 
the body will burn fat instead of food. However, fasting cannot be used as a 
strategy to lose weight properly. Maintaining a balanced weight is a good first 
step to living a quality healthy life.
